Meet the Director Louise Bates founded Educational Expeditions after 25 years of teaching. She began her career teaching study skills to U.S. servicemen in Munich, Germany. Subsequently, she taught in the Baltimore and Richmond Public Schools, Peabody Demonstration School for Teachers in Nashville, Tennessee and St. Christopher's School in Richmond, Virginia. Mrs. Bates received a B.A. from the University of Richmond and an M.A. in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. The positive experiences her own three children had in study abroad programs, specialty camps, and service projects inspired her to found Educational Expeditions. |
