As students move into their high school years, they enter
the prime time for taking advantage of the many pre-college
programs available to young people. Participating in
stimulating summer programs is a wonderful way to build
one's college portfolio while gaining more self-reliance and
a stronger knowledge of an area of interest. While not all
courses offer college credit, many provide the kind of
unique experience which colleges like to see on an
application.
The sheer number of programs available is astounding and the
opportunities here and abroad are overwhelming. Sifting
through all the information and finding the program that
suits a particular student's needs is time consuming and
confusing.
As my own children entered the high school years, I searched
for meaningful programs for them. It was not an easy task
and took hours of work. Each child was unique and required
something quite different from the other. In the end, the
study and service programs in which they participated had a
profound influence on the way they now view the world and on
the contributions they are making to it.
Educational Expeditions takes the stress out of finding the
right enrichment program. Our recommendations are based on
each student's interests and skill level, not on a select
group of programs offered by any particular institution. Our
goal is to find the opportunity that excites the student,
stimulates the intellect, and enriches the soul.
